Showcase of New Zealand Schools is a group of quality New Zealand high schools marketing together in South America in 2010.
The schools range in size and type and are located from the north to the south of our safe, beautiful country. Rural, semi-rural and city locations; co-educational or single sex; state or private, all schools offer top-quality homestays and farmstays with handpicked families. There is also a boarding option.
Academic excellence, sporting success, strong performing arts programmes and specialist outdoor education programmes are the norm within New Zealand high schools.
New Zealand has so much to offer high school aged students from South America. We have the same seasons as you (Southern hemisphere), and our school year runs from late January until November/December.
New Zealand government qualifications are recognized for entry to foreign universities and some schools also offer IB or Cambridge qualifications.
Extra-curricular programmes include surfing, equestrian, mountain biking, sailing, kayaking, football, rugby, hockey, choirs, bands and drama. New Zealand students compete fiercely in regular competitions up to national level.
